Three Phases of the Moon: A Cautionary Tale

Three Phases of the Moon: A Cautionary Tale consists of three 8’ x 8’ ink drawings about colonization of the moon. The first panel, The Dream honors the mystery of the unknown, from ancient mythology to the work of pioneering filmmaker Georges Méliès.

The second panel, Destiny Manifested, displays the beginning of the moon’s destruction through mining and industry.

The third panel, The Dark Side of the Moon, documents human extinction. The Earth becomes a defunct rock in the sky and rabbits, the victims of testing, have escaped and repopulated the moon, doomed to recreate the same horrors as their human counterparts.

A bevy of sculptural “space rabbits” share the room with viewers.
